Issues

  • God
  • Our founding fathers based the design of our government on Biblical principles. Though we see turmoil and corruption around us, if we return to and hold fast to the higher laws of our Creator, we can remain a blessed land.

  • Life
  • I believe life begins at conception and ends in natural death. The same protections we expect over our lives and that of our neighbors should be equally applied in the womb and at every other stage of life. When asked the question, “When is it ok to kill an infant in its mother's womb” my response is “never.”

  • Family
  • I believe in the traditional family – marriage between one man and one woman joined together to raise godly children and responsible citizens of our nation. This social unit has been the foundation of all successful human societies since the dawn of creation. I am opposed to any state education or protections that seek to redefine marriage in any other way or that redefines sex and gender as something other than what is established at birth.

  • Economics
  • Wealth comes from the land. As an agricultural state, we know this well. The government does not create wealth, but it has the responsibility of upholding just weights and measures to promote economic stability and growth. I will support policies that limit government overreach, keep resources local, promote industry, and protect the rights of local farmers and local communities.

  • 2nd Amendment
  • “The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” I believe this clause from our nation's Bill of Rights is clear and self-explanatory and I will always work to defend it.
